Detailed Selection Guide

For Short Bed Trucks (Turning Clearance)

If you have a 5.5' or 6.5' bed, you need a sliding hitch to prevent the trailer from hitting your cab during tight turns.

  • Autoslide Series: This is the premium "hands-off" choice. It automatically slides back as you turn and requires no locking plates for standard pin boxes.
  • Recon Manual Slide: Recon Manual Slide: A more affordable alternative that provides 14 inches of travel, but requires you to get out of the truck and manually unlock the slider before making tight maneuvers.

For Maximum Bed Utility & Portability

The Recon line is designed for users who want to easily remove the hitch to use their truck for other cargo.

  • Recon Lightweight: Uses a two-piece geometric design that is easier to lift than traditional heavy hitches. It is available for both standard rails and gooseneck ball mounts.

  • Recon Stealth: This is a foldable version of the Recon. It allows you to collapse the hitch into a compact package that can be stored at the front of the bed or in a garage without having to wrestle a heavy unit out of the truck.

For Heavy-Duty & Professional Towing

  • 21K & 31K UMS Hitches: 21K & 31K UMS Hitches: These use an Under Bed Mounting System (UMS) that leaves your truck bed completely flat and rail-free when the hitch is removed. The 31K UMS is specifically designed for high-capacity towing with 1-ton trucks using factory puck systems.
